What is the Second Market?

Buying retail means paying full price to purchase something new from the store. (e.g., an Oleg Cassini blouse for $300).

Buying wholesale means paying half price from a wholesaler or manufacturer; usually this requires a resale certificate from the state, and/or buying in bulk.

The Second Market is any item, often still new with tags, that has passed on from its original purchaser.  This can mean thrift stores (said Oleg Cassini blouse: $5!), yard sales, estate sales, pawn shops… you get the idea.  Some of our best finds have even come out of the trash at the side of the road.  You would be AMAZED at what people just throw away (and how much we can get for it re-selling it.  Cost to us?  $0!)

Join us on our trips to various second market outlets as we teach you where to go, what to look for, how much to pay, and whether or not to buy.
